Daniel Stern, best known for his role in the smash family comedy Home Alone, recently spoke out on the darker side of celebrity, particularly for younger artists who have just started their careers.
The actor, who has experienced the highs and lows of show business, feels that the entertainment industry may be "very dangerous" for youngsters.
During her interview with PEOPLE, Daniel said, "Macaulay [was] a wonderful kid and had the pressure of the world on him at such a young age, and [he] handled it so brilliantly and was incredible in the film." That's why everyone is watching the film, that youngster."
He went on to explain that entering the show industry is a difficult route for young performers, as they will either achieve success, have to deal with the pressure that comes with it, or endure disappointment.
Daniel Stern said, "So we had a really loving set on 'The Wonder Years', and I was really simply protective. And I am naturally protective of children."
