During his most recent trip to the UK, Prince Harry's "worst fears" regarding his security were realized when a "stalker" broke through his security and approached the royal up close.
In the past, when the King was rigidly avoiding contact with his son, the Duke of Sussex had battled the UK Home Office for police protection for him and his family. In May, Harry lost his lawsuit, though, and the father-son reconciliation process was started.
The king will undoubtedly be faced with a problem on what actions to take for his son in light of the recently revealed security concerns.
After discussing the legal concerns, royal journalist Bronte Coy told The Sun that it "adds a very real humanity to the situation."
"It has gone through the courts and he had the right of appeal, but the judge rejected it despite what Harry said," she said. However, in this instance, we are discovering that a person who is obsessed has now approached him within a few feet, and all of a sudden, this imagined threat has materialized.
This, she said, is why Harry did not benefit from the "bespoke" arrangement rather than the default protection.
Arthur Edwards, the royal photographer, disagreed, believing that Harry could not have police protection since "every celebrity" had a stalker. Arthur praised Harry's policemen for their "brilliant job" in keeping him safe.
According to him, Harry "overplayed" the circumstances, and the royal family's position on "Half in and half out" is unmistakable: it's not feasible.
It does not, however, rule out the prospect that the King might be pressured to restore Harry's Home Office security as a result of the current protection concerns.
Earlier this week, there were reports of a female stalker who approached Prince Harry closely twice. At the hotel where the WellChild Awards were hosted, she was first discovered making "odd remarks" about Harry while using the restroom. Additionally, she was spotted near Harry's vehicle, which prompted the crew to do a thorough inspection of the vehicle.
When Harry was visiting Imperial College's Centre for Blast Injury Studies two days later, on the same day that he had tea with his father at Clarence House, his bodyguards "body blocked" her.
