'Only Murders in the Building' showcases Meryl Streep and Martin Short wedding vintage photos

 

Only Murders in the Building pays homage to Meryl Streep and Martin Short's on-set wedding in the fourth season finale.

"#BehindTheScenes of filming the wedding scene in 410. New York City, May 2024.," said the caption on the show's official Instagram photo, posted on December 20.

In the images, Streep, 75, and Short, 74, stood in front of a floral arch decorated with white and pink flowers in the Arconia courtyard.

Streep looked stunning in a cream floral-embellished gown, while Short wore a lavender suit with a cream vest, tie, and scarf. The carousel also included close-ups of floral arrangements, a towering wedding cake, and Oliver's pet dog, Winnie.

Fans soon responded to the image, with one saying, "You could have [told] me Meryl and Martin married, and I would have believed." Another wrote, "Wdym behind the scenes, I'm convinced this happened."

Short has played Oliver since the Hulu series debuted in 2021, with Steve Martin as Charles and Selena Gomez as Mabel.

Streep joins the cast in season 3 as Loretta, an actress and Oliver's romantic interest. In season four, the pair were engaged, which culminated in their wedding at the finale.
