Xiaomi 15 Ultra Launch Timeline Revealed; Camera Features Leaked Again

 

Xiaomi 15 Ultra is likely to be released as the successor to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which was introduced in China in February. Key facts about the forthcoming device have leaked online in recent weeks. The phone is likely to come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU and run Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 out of the box, similar to the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro devices released in October. Several predicted features of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, including camera specs, have been leaked earlier. The same information, as well as the phone's expected release date, has been leaked again.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station's Weibo tweet (translated from Chinese), the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be available in China in February 2025. He stated that the launch date is "really the end of the month​​," which might be February 28, 2025.

In a subsequent article, Smart Pikachu supported up this claim, stating that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will include an enhanced macro sensor, big aperture across the focal range, and a low-light telephoto camera.

In a separate post, tipster Digital Chat Station stated that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would most likely include a 1-inch 50-megapixel primary back sensor, a secondary 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and another 50-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability. The handset's quad back camera setup is said to contain a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor capable of up to 4.3x optical magnification.

Previous rumors have indicated that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would include a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, IP69-rated dust and water resistance, and wireless charging capability. The handset will most likely have a 2K quad-curved display and run HyperOS 2.0, which is based on Android 15.
