According to one source, Google photographs may be working on a new feature that would allow users to swiftly modify photographs and videos before sharing them. The tool, called rapid Edit, is touted to allow for rapid picture editing by automatically boosting the image. Furthermore, it is said to have cropping capabilities. This announcement adds to a slew of changes introduced by Photos in recent weeks, including the ability to erase material from device backups without deleting it locally, as well as a new Moments page that replaces the former Memories tab.
Quick Edit in Google Photos
In a report, Android Authority revealed how this functionality was developed. According to the magazine, a user discovered the Quick Edit page when a single media file was selected for sharing. It apparently has an Enhanced function that operates similarly to the Enhance option in the picture editing menu, automatically improving aspects in the image.
Additionally, the Quick Edit tool may enable users to rapidly trim a picture before sharing it with others. Once completed, a Share option is claimed to appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.
However, both of these choices are only available when one file is chosen. If users pick numerous photographs or videos, the existing share sheet appears, according to the magazine. This functionality was reported in Google Photos for Android version 7.10.0. However, even with the most recent version of the app, Gadgets 360 staff were unable to confirm its presence. According to reports, it is currently unavailable to the general public.
Other Recent Additions
Google recently made technical modifications to its Photos app, removing the 'Memories' item from the app's homepage. It has been replaced with a new button that may be found by scrolling to a submenu. The internet behemoth also launched a new feed, which includes choices for seeing updates to shared pictures, discussions, memory, and storage.
