In the battle of royal Christmas cards, Prince William and Kate's holiday greeting is winning hearts due to its personal touch, while Harry and Meghan's letter has been labeled 'corporate' and 'lacking warmth.'
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began the Christmas card season with a card including six photos, several from their worldwide travels, and a family shot with their children, Archie and Lilibet.
It was launched under their non-profit, Archewell, indicating that the couple's primary emphasis is their brand.
Meanwhile, William and Kate waited until closer to Christmas to send their message, which included a lovely family photo taken in Norfolk of their three children, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis.
Brand expert Nick Ede chipped in, adding that whereas William and Kate's letter exudes intimacy and insight into their family life, Harry and Meghan's greeting seems more like a 'thank you' to their fans and a promotional tool for Archewell.
"It's very corporate and not personal at all," Ede remarked, adding that it lacked the comforting charm that often makes a holiday card memorable.
According to business expert Nick Ede, Prince William and Kate's Christmas card is a "special moment captured" and a souvenir worth cherishing.
"This year, they've shown once again a candid photograph of the family, making it even more personal and profound," Ede told reporters.
He highlighted that Catherine's emphasis on family and unity is strongly conveyed in the card, which "resonates with fans of the family."
Ede says Harry and Meghan's card was more "professional" in nature, promoting their Archewell brand.
"They've sent a card that's much more businesslike, from the Archewell brand, rather than a personal family message," he told me.
