Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne's ex-girlfriend, posted a heartbreaking message on Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, the 25-year-old online star resorted to Instagram stories to share an emotional message about dealing with sadness over the holiday.

Kate started out by saying: "As the holidays are here I realize it is a time for happiness and joy, but it is also a time of sadness and grief for so many."

She said, "Be gentle with those around you this time of year, as the holidays can feel different for everyone."

"I'm sending all of my love to those who are grieving this Christmas. I pray this season offers you comfort and calm. "Wishing everyone a love-filled and healthy holiday season this year," Liam's old love interest said.
